The London Scifi Film festival starts today! I have not been able to make to one in all the time I’ve lived here. So I’m pretty excited to get to go this years opening, Dante 01

A unique science-fiction nightmare vision, Dante 01 is the long-awaited solo debut from the legendary co-creator of THE CITY OF LOST CHILDREN and DELICATESSEN.

Dante 01 is a space prison orbiting the suffocating atmosphere of the hostile planet called Dante. On-board are some of the most dangerous criminals from the surrounding worlds who are being used as guinea-pigs for some highly illegal ‘nano-tech’ experiments.

A new prisoner arrives, Saint Georges, a sole survivor of an encounter with an alien force beyond imagining. Saint Georges is a man possessed by inner demons, caught up in a battle to control some monstrous power within him.

It’s a power that will infect the other highly dangerous occupants of Dante 01, jailors and prisoners alike, unleashing a violent rebellion that turns this terrifying, labyrinthine world upside down.

In the otherworldly hell of the ship’s depths, through danger and redemption, each must journey to his very limit… each must confront his own Dragon.

The Anime Allnighter looks really good too, with Appleseed: Ex Machina, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Tekkon Kinkreet and Vexille lined up for the night.
